- Chassis & Graphics: The casing is structurally secure with no cracks or edge splits. The silver front face holds a bright luster with clear, legible text formatting. There are minor historic surface abrasions, fine perimeter edge scuffs to the silver paintwork, and minimal storage grime spots as shown in the close-up macro photos.
- Mechanical Controls: The tuning dial rotates smoothly and moves the frequency wheel indicator correctly. The rotary volume wheel responds well. The lower battery door mechanism engages firmly, popping open and locking flush when pressed.
- Operational Details (230g): The unit has been bench-tested and is functional, picking up signals across the AM spectrum. Please note that the internal audio components display a persistent, historic "crackle" or static background scratchiness. This crackle is most notable when adjusting the volume thumbwheel, and while it softens down once you are locked onto a station, it does remain present during audio playback. Please review the included video clip in the photo gallery to hear a live audio demonstration of the tuning function and playback sound quality. The battery compartment interior is clean and dry.
