Dating & Historical Context
- Dating: This officially licensed collectable was released strictly for the winter holiday season of 2011, as verified by the original base stamping.
- Historical Note: Distributed exclusively by Brand Packaging Solutions Ltd in West Sussex, this collection showcases the iconic "Ice Cold" advertising typography combined with the timeless 1915 silhouette of the patented Alexander Samuelson contour bottle design. Rather than choosing flat graphics, the producer utilized a custom-stamped hinged metal tin box with a beautifully finished polished gold interior tray to mirror the presentation style of high-end mid-century department store giftware.
Description
A highly collectable festive offering from 2011, this three-piece Coca-Cola gift set presents a masterclass in retro kitchen design. The exterior showcase highlights the legendary contour bottle art embedded into a deep red enameled backdrop. Opening the smooth-rolling metal lid reveals a stunning bright gold metal interior housing a classic heavy-moulded flare glass and an incredibly solid, mirror-polished bottle opener structured in the exact likeness of a miniature glass Coke bottle, all secured cleanly in the original form-fitting clear display packaging.
Expert Identification & Design Features:
- True Form Glass: The included glassware features the unmistakable raised script logotype, tapering seamlessly down to a heavy block base.
- Ergonomic Opener: The accompanying chrome opener uses weighted cast metal alloys, offering an authentic, balanced vintage handling feel.
- Durable Enameling: Built using a high-density, multi-pass printing system over steel sheet stock to avoid premature paint fading or scratching during kitchen display.
Condition Report
This piece is in exceptional, unused vintage condition. The inner contents—including the iconic contour drinking glass and the heavy chrome bottle opener—are brand new, completely pristine, and have never been taken out of their clear internal protective moulding. The vibrant red exterior enamel has retained its bright, factory-original sheen with only minor surface micro-scratches from careful shelf storage. The hinged mechanism opens effortlessly and closes with a perfectly flush seal, while the internal polished gold lining shows zero signs of age, corrosion, or clouding.
