Dating & Historical Context
- Dating: This piece represents a signature contemporary production from the renowned Belgian studio Pomme Pidou.
- Historical Note: Famous for reimagining classic piggy bank concepts, Pomme Pidou has earned a global collector base for its whimsical, vibrant ceramic animal figurines. Each animal shape is designated a specific character name by the brand, with this sitting teddy bear model officially titled Toto. This specific variant is the highly desirable large edition, standing at a substantial 10 inches tall. Crafted using a specialized decoupage paper transfer technique, no two bears feature the exact same pattern layout. The striking combination of rich red tones, meadow flowers, and cartoon bumblebees makes this a cheerful statement accessory for a nursery, children's bedroom, or a dedicated money box collection.
